This Event-Filled Pumpkin Festival in New Hampshire Will Get You in the Fall Spirit
Holy smokes. Laconia, New Hampshire, might have the most Halloween activities and events in all of New England.
Now, the actual event is the New Hampshire Pumpkin Festival on Saturday, October 29, 2022, from 10 AM - 7 PM.
Just because the event is listed as one day, doesn't mean it really is. According to their website, the entire weekend is loaded with various activities. For example, the event is on Saturday, but Friday starts an awesome double feature at the Colonel Theater:

Ghostbusters 2, Friday, 10/28 @ 8:30pm
Then there's a beach party at Weirs beach, kicking off Pumpkin Fest with a 21+ (no cover) party.
Then, Saturday is the start of one unbelievable weekend. The full day of fall festivities begins with a 5K and 10K run. Activities are separated by location.
PumpCANALly on Canal Street will feature children's programs, kids games, face painting, pumpkin bowling, exhibits, and more, according to the website.
Hanover Street Happenings on Hanover Street will feature axe throwing, pumpkin bowling, Trading Faces face painting, kids novelties by Hibbert Enterprises, kids games, and more, according to the website.
A cornhole tournament is taking place on Beacon St W in front of the Hector's Spirit Stage with outdoor dining & live music. Online registration is required.
There will also be a Children's Costume Parade at 1PM in front of the Belknap Mill.
Card readings are happening as well!
The kids zone will feature Kid's Climbing Wall & Inflatable Fun.
At the Cake Theatre in Veterans Square, Recycled Percussion will take the stage during the festival, along with a costume contest & more, according to the website! Get your tickets to RECYCLED PERCUSSION REDONKULOUS Friday 10/28 @ 7pm, and Saturday 10/29 @ 2pm & 7pm.
The historic train station in Veterans Square will feature Hobo Pumpkin train rides hourly from 11am-3pm. The jack-o-lantern lighting begins at 4:45 pm.

At 6:30pm, you can join the Zombie Walk and show off your zombie garb in front of Defiant Records & Craft Beer.
Do not forget movie nights. The start to the pumpkin filled weekend was Ghostbusters 1 and 2 on Friday. To end the festivities on Saturday, there will be three movies all played at the Colonial Theatre on Main Street:
