These 2 Maine Swimming Holes Got Some Amazing Upgrades in Time for a Summer Swim
According to the Bangor Daily News, some much-needed upgrades come to town-owned Marshall Shores on St George Lake in Liberty.
Marshall Shores is known for its rocky and very slippery terrain, which oftentimes makes it hard for those with mobility issues to make it safely to the water. Because of this, the town has decided to make a few much-needed upgrades.
Upgrades were made to both Marshall Shores and Stevens Pond during the Spring of 2021 and include Aluminum handrails making water access easier, picnic tables, and several rustic log benches. Stevens pond also received an upgrade that included new aluminum access steps.
All of these wonderful upgrades are thanks to several amazing volunteers as well as a grant from AARP.
Each of these amazing swimming holes has so much to offer, from picnic tables and benches to copious amounts of shade when you're trying to retreat from the Summer sun.
