I need you to make plans for this one because it is not every day you get to watch 20 people pull a 70-ton airplane across a runway.

The Travis Mills Foundation Plane Pull is happening Saturday, September 26, at the Portland International Jetport, and I’ll be there representing 92 Moose, playing music and hanging out with everybody.

And yes, you read that correctly: a 70-ton FedEx Boeing 757 is sitting on the tarmac and teams will compete to see who can pull that massive thing 20 feet the fastest.

There will be 45 teams competing, with 20 pullers on each team and the whole thing benefits the Travis Mills Foundation, which supports recalibrated veterans and their families.

Travis Mills Foundation Plane Pull Returns to Maine This Weekend

So basically, you get to watch an absolutely ridiculous display of human strength while supporting an incredible Maine organization. I see no downside here.

And you don’t have to be on a team to have a good time. This is a family-friendly event with food trucks, face painting, activities for kids and plenty of reasons to hang out at the Jetport for the afternoon.

The Plane Pull runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, and I’ll be there with 92 Moose making some noise.

So grab your family, your friends, your kids or honestly, that person in your life who just really enjoys watching people do things that seem physically impossible and come see it.

I’ll see you at the airport. And yes, I fully expect to be cheering for the airplane.
