Maine Icon Stephen King May Have Just Gotten Us a Netflix Premiere Date
Netflix dropped a teaser trailer for Manifest
If you're not familiar with the show Manifest, there was massive drama surrounding it just over a year ago in May 2021 when, according to USA Today, after three seasons of airing on NBC, the series was cancelled just days after airing the Season 3 Finale of the show that ended on a cliffhanger that had fans going crazy.
After fans rallied on social media to create the #SaveManifest movement, the series was in fact saved by Netflix, who, according to USA Today, decided to pick the show up and give fans the fourth and final season that they were begging for. After a year of mostly silence with little updates, Netflix dropped a teaser trailer of what's to come just over a week ago.
Maine's Stephen King tweeted about the Manifest trailer
As you'll notice at the end of the teaser trailer dropped by Netflix last week, there's no indication of the Season 4 premiere date. Instead, the message "Coming Soon" is all that appears below the Netflix logo. However, thanks to local Maine legend, Stephen King, we may get a premiere date sooner rather than later after the tweet he posted last night.
Within 20 minutes of posting that Tweet, Stephen received a "Quote Tweet" response from the show's creator and producer, Jeff Rake.
Whether or not Jeff was serious with his response and legitimately is going to try and get Stephen a premiere date, and whether or not that interaction will be made publicly or privately, is still unknown. But for "Manifesters," as fans of the show are known as, it's at least one step in the right direction to finding out when they'll find out the fate of the Stone Family and other series favorites when Season 4 hits Netflix.
And of course, it's all because of a Mainer. Why? Because we're the way life should be.
