Spirit Halloween To Open At The Augusta Marketplace

As of late stores in the Marketplace in Augusta seem to come and go, at times it feels like more stores go than come but, we have a new arrival recently, so new that they aren't even open for business.

It appears that Spirit Halloween has set-up shop in the Marketplace where Michael's used to be.

According to their website, Spirit Halloween credits itself as the largest seasonal Halloween retailer in the world. Spirit Halloween has grown from 63 locations to over 1,300 with expansions in both the U.S.A. and Canada.

Although they are not officially open, they did have signage both on the door of the new location and also appear to be hiring for management and consignment sales in the Augusta area according to a job posting on their website.

The Abandoned Central Maine Sanatorium

In operation from about 1914 until 1970, the sickest TB patients in Maine were sent to this sanatorium in Central Maine.
