Maine’s Ararat Team Heading to Youth World Series For Once in a Lifetime Opportunity
Maine is representing!
First, big congratulations to the ARARAT 12U baseball team on winning the Cal Ripken New England Regional tournament. That got them a spot at the WORLD SERIES in Palm Beach, Florida starting August 7th! Yes, it's coming up quickly!
If you think this isn't a big deal, it is! It's a tremendous accomplishment and a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for this group of 12 and13-year-old baseball players. This is the first time in Cal Ripken history that a team from Maine has made it to the World Series! Most of these players have been together for years and everyone is so proud of these boys for what they do on and off the field.
The Ararat team, representing all of New England in the World Series, is a team of players from Harpswell, Bowdoinham, Topsham, Bowdoin and Richmond.
This chance comes with some major expenses for airfare, hotels, rentals, uniform expenses, time off from work and food! They would love all of the players and their families to be able to go. If you can help lessen the financial burden for some of the families, it would be greatly appreciated! There is no amount too small.
Let's put Maine on the map at the World Series!
