Tuesday, May 17, the WOKQ family hosted a cornhole tournament at Bernie's Beach Bar on Hampton Beach, New Hampshire.

The weather was perfect, the sun shinning, the drinks flowing, and the memories being made.

One of the contestants was going home with much more than memories. The winner of the WOKQ cornhole tournament went home with a four pack of tickets to the Barefoot Country Music Festival. That is home to five stages and over 40 artists including Eric Church, Jason Aldean, Florida Georgia Line, Cole Swindell, Dustin Lynch, and more.

But wait, there's more.

The winning team also won free airfare, courtesy of Spirit Airlines, and a free stay at the Ocean Casino Resort in Atlantic City.

When team Sami started warming up to compete for this tournament and incredible prize, the other players were nervous. It was clear Sami had played this game before.

Both she and her partner were very good cornhole players. If Sami wanted the bag in the hole, it was in. If she wanted it on the board, she could place it anywhere. She was practically a professional.

But she wasn't a pro. After she dominated the tournament, we found out that Sami had only started playing cornhole because of the pandemic. She used her forced social distancing to play the game and socialize in a fun and safe way.

Here is team Sami.

It was clear that team Sami was taking home the grand prize. What no one expected was the selfless act that she chose to do after she won the final game.

We found out after Sami had won that she offered the second place team, team Heather, to attend the Barefoot Country Music Festival with her and her partner.

This is team Heather.

Heather is a mother of seven children. There is no doubt that she deserved this vacation.

Sami could have taken her partner and two lifelong pals, coworkers, or family members. Instead, she is taking two new friends that she met at the WOKQ Cornhole Tournament.

A selfless and extremely generous act from our very own listener, Sami.
