Sandy Point Seafood in Augusta is one of Central Maine's go-to seafood places. Not only can you purchase fresh-off-the-boat Maine seafood, but they also have some of the biggest seafood basket servings in all of New England!

After the sudden loss of their son and business partner, Brendan, in early June, the owners of Sandy Point Seafood had to make the tough decision to scale back what they offer on their menu.

According to a Facebook post made by Sandy Point Seafood, they have permanently closed their kitchen and will no longer offer fried foods or meals. Even though the kitchen is closed, they will continue to offer fresh seafood. So, don't panic. You can still stop in and purchase fresh lobsters, shrimp, haddock fillets, and so much more.

Sandy Point Seafood is open Wednesday thru Sunday from 9 am until sold out. If you plan on purchasing, make sure you get there bright early, they have been known to sell out quickly.

Prices are subject to change daily as rates are based on market price.
