Report: Maine Man Pulls Gun On Another Driver Due To Road Rage
A case of road rage led to a confrontation outside of a store in Madison, Maine, according to our news partner WMTW. The report says the incident happened this morning (Thursday, February 13, 2020) after Joseph Champagne of Strong drove his pickup truck in front of a tractor-trailer being driven by Shane Lucas of Hudson. Both men stopped at a nearby store and reportedly got into a confrontation.
Then, Champagne "pulled out a 40 caliber handgun," as per WMTW, and shot at Lucas' feet. Luckily, no one was injured. Champagne allegedly left the scene, and was arrested later at another store in Norridgewock. He is being charged with aggravated reckless conduct and terrorizing, according to WMTW.
