Here's an update to a story we began to tell you about on the air and online a couple of weeks ago...one that we're certain will warm your heart as much as it did ours.

In case you missed it, Emersyn Rowles is a girl from Lewiston, who is battling a rare form of leukemia called MPAL. As she approached her 14th birthday last week, she was also undergoing her 4th round of chemotherapy at Boston's Children's Hospital.

Her family wanted to make her upcoming birthday a little brighter, so they asked people to send her birthday cards.

Emersyn's Mom Brittany joined us on the HOM Morning Show today to share the good news that as of yesterday, they've counted 4,633 pieces of mail so far. WOW! It's such an incredible outpouring of support from the local community, and beyond. Brittany chatted with us about Emersyn's journey, the impact the cards have had, and more.
