You know you’re a Redneck when you can’t get enough of this sauce. Borrowing a line from comedian Jeff Foxworthy, that's what Binga's Stadium in downtown Portland says about its so-called "Redneck Sauce."

Truth be told: I've never considered myself to be a Redneck, even though I joke about it. I'm from Florida, so I'm definitely a southern girl. I've also never ordered a burger with Redneck Sauce on it. That is until I went to Binga's on a whim and saw it on the menu.

My first concern was that it might be too spicy for me. I don't like spicy foods. So, I asked the server what was in it. I was surprised when she said "maple syrup and buffalo sauce." Binga's menu describes it as a "maple buffalo that gives you the much desired sweet with a touch of heat." It rates as "warming up" on the heat scale.

Well, she had me at "maple syrup," so I ordered the All American Redneck Burger with a side of sweet potato fries.

It was very tasty. "Sweet with a touch of heat" is the perfect description, and it was not too spicy for me.

By the way, this was my first time at Binga's Stadium. I'm glad I took a chance with trying something new.
