Rear View of Going Through Portland, Maine’s Scrub A Dub Car Wash
I'm a fan of ScrubaDub car wash here in Portland. They have two locations. One on Forest Avenue at Morrill's Corner and a second in South Portland across from the Maine Mall.
They've got a really good deal of unlimited car washes for one price per month. I find myself needing to get my car washed every few days during the winter months as all the snow, slush and ice melt on the road all ends up on our cars.
I bought a new 2024 Ford Escape from Ripley & Fletcher Ford in my hometown of South Paris and it came with a large screen for the backup camera and other controls. It also has a dial instead of a stick to change gears.

The last time I went through the car wash, I turned the dial too far and stopped it in reverse, which activated the rearview camera. I quickly realized my mistake and put it back to neutral, but the camera stayed on because the car was being pulled through the tunnel and just 1 mile per hour, not enough to trigger the camera to turn off.
When you accidentally find out that you can turn your rearview camera on in the car wash, you take a cool video going through the tunnel.
The video is a bit shaky because it's not an entirely smooth ride, but I think it's a really cool perspective when going through the car wash that you wouldn't get through the rear window.
