The creator of one of Maine's most listened to weekly podcasts is taking his show to a live stage.

Since its inception in 2015, Neil Sattin's weekly podcast Relationship Alive! has become one of the leading podcasts on the subjects of relationships, having counted more than 3 million downloads to date. Combining Sattin's research in the field with in-depth interviews with recognized relationship experts around the world, Relationship Alive! has helped countless listeners with the skills and vocabulary to thrive in long-term, monogamous relationships. With it's broad themes and universal focus, Relationship Alive! has also become one of the most popular podcasts produced in Maine.

On June 6, Sattin is launching the premiere of Relationship Alive...live!, an ongoing live series that represents a new period of growth for the podcast. The guest for the premiere will be Terry Real, author of "The New Rules of Marriage" and creator of Relational Life Therapy. Real is also the author of "I Don't Want to Talk about It," a groundbreaking 1997 book about men and depression. Real has trained thousands of therapists in his work, and is a regular keynote speaker at national conferences on advancing strategies to help couples succeed. It's a rare treat to have him in Portland.

In an evening facilitated by Sattin and accompanied by the sweet, soulful music of Portland artist Katie Matzell, Terry Real will discuss how to set up relationships for success and turn troubled relationships around, giving the opportunity for audience members to ask questions in a live, intimate setting. The evening is designed to enhance relationship IQ for singles and couples alike.
