After receiving a 911 call from a nearby resident, police found a man slumped in a car in Portland's West End. That man died at the scene. 

It's been a frightful afternoon for residents of Portland's bustling West End as police have swarmed the neighborhood and blocked off streets due to an apparent homicide. According to the Portland Press Herald, police stopped traffic at the intersection of Chadwick Street and Carrol Street when they found a man slumped over in a car thanks to a 911 tip.

When police arrived at the scene, the man was apparently still alive. He died a short time later before paramedics were able to show up. Police have classified the suspicious death a homicide, but haven't released any further details at the time of this writing, including the man's age or identity. A section of Chadwick Street remains closed to the general public.
