
Westbrook, Maine, Police Make This Little Girls Whole Day
I always like to highlight the sweet work of police officers in Maine.
Kavo, a Belgian Malinois who became a member of the Westbrook, Maine, K9 team in the summer of 2024, is a hit! Officer Candace Rankin and Kavo are paired up and make a great team.
Kavo made a little girl in Westbrook, Maine's whole day better.
Kavo isn't just a highly trained and skilled K9 member, he's also a really damn cute dog. And he has his own little stuffy with the Westbrook Maine Police Department. Recently, a little girl was delighted to get a Kavo stuffy. Her giant smile said it all.

Kavo, with the Westbrook, Maine Police Department, loves to protect and play
Kavo came to the Westbrook, Maine, police department from a highly regarded training facility in Boston. Kavo is a dual-purpose patrol K9. He specializes in apprehension, tracking, article searches, building searches, and drug detection. Kavo and Candace completed their certification and have been on patrol. But Kavo is a dog, and boy, he loves his ball! Kavo loves to work and play ball!
Look carefully. Kavo, the trained K9 from the Westbrook, Maine Police Department, is never far from his favorite toy - the ball.
Thank you, Kavo and Candace, for not only protecting us but also for letting Kavo be a dog and making this little girl's day. We hope you both stay healthy and happy chasing balls and bad guys.
