According to Seacoast Online, C&J Bus Lines is opening a new terminal next month.

The owner of C&J hopes to have the terminal open by Nov. 3 or 4, the news site reported, and the new terminal will sit on the 38-acre lot that used to be the site of Sam’s Club at 11 Batchelder Road in Seabrook, New Hampshire.

Apparently 80 percent of the people who travel out of the Newburyport stop originate in New Hampshire, according to Seacoast Online, so hopefully this stop will provide New Hampshire commuters an easier option!

The obvious question is "are people really taking the bus into the city when so much of the population is still working from home due to the pandemic?"

The paper states that ridership has been growing every week at a slow and steady pace.

This new terminal was underway before the pandemic, and construction did not slow down because of it.

C&J is optimistic about the terminal especially when the pandemic is behind us and people go back to commuting regularly, according to Seacoast Online.
