Massive Pothole at Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School is Wreaking Havoc on Tires
Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School in Norway-South Paris seems to have kicked off pothole season in a big way with a massive pothole that is frustrating everyone who doesn't see it.
Despite its size, it's very easy to miss. If you do, hit it, it could do some serious damage to your vehicle. Erin Kasperek took a photo of the crater in the pavement and shared it with us along with a warning to everyone driving into OHCHS.
Just a heads up this pothole is in the OHCHS driveway closest to the brown st. end. This thing can cause some serious damage if someone doesn't realize its there. Not sure who at the school district needs to be notified but given the many other potholes and chunks missing at the school i think maybe this summer it would be time for a full strip down and repave. This thing is deep too like borderline lobster pot deep.
This is not where you want to boil your lobster.

Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School sits nearly smack dab in the middle of the town line between South Paris and Norway. The building has a paved road that runs from the main entrance on Paris Street to Brown Street where you can turn left to the Norway/Paris Transfer station, also called the dump. You could also turn right, where you will connect with Fair Street.
Somewhere on this stretch is where the giant pothole lurks and people aren't happy, based on these comments in the Oxford Hills Community Page on Facebook:
The whole road going into the school is terrible! I’m surprised they haven’t at least patched it yet. I’m sure it’s doing a number on all the buses as well! -Melissa
Maybe take the outrageous budget they passed and get it fully done new. -Thatcher
I almost lost a tire the other day. It’s awful. I’m surprised they allow it to get that bad honestly. -Kelley
I fell in this last week. I’m still here. Send help. -Daniel
If I'm not mistaken, this repair falls on the school district. In the meantime, if you have to go to OHCHS, head out the way you came in on Paris Street.
