"Survivor" first aired all the way back in 2000. That was 22 years ago!

You might not know it, but the first winner of the.TV show, Richard Hatch, even has New England roots.

In fact, there have been a number of players and cast members that come from Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont, Connecticut, and Rhode Island. That includes the latest "Survivor."

The sole player from New England for season 43 of "Survivor" is 25-year-old Noelle Lambert.

Lambert is a Granite Stater all the way. Her hometown is Londonderry, New Hampshire, and she currently lives in Manchester. 603 represent!

Lambert reveals in both her intro video for "Survivor," which you can watch above, and on her website that she lost her leg in a moped accident in 2016.

But the three-sport varsity athlete clearly wasn't deterred by the incident.

Not only did she return to school to play on her sports team, but she would later go on to compete in the 2020 Paralympics in Tokyo for Team USA in a sport she had previously never played before: Track & Field.

Her hard work and perseverance paid off, because, according to Parade.com, she set a new American record in the 100-meter dash.

It's something she lists as one of her proudest accomplishments.

As if that wasn't enough, Lambert founded The Born to Run Foundation, which helps "other young amputees lead fulfilling and active lives," her website states.

Leave it to Lambert to take on multiple challenges for herself and find success. She is a real champion for sure and such an inspiration.

Now, will she be a "Survivor" champion? Time will tell.

In her intro video for the CBS show, she said she "absolutely" will win and will be the "first amputee to ever win 'Survivor.'"

As of October 11, 2022, she's managed to survive the first few episodes and shine in the process. Let's hope she can keep going and win it all.

New Hampshire and New England take it all the way.

Let's go, Noelle!
