Dave’s Hot Chicken in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, is ‘Im-peck-ably’ Delicious
Haha, get it? "Im-peck-able"? As in "impeccable"? A little chicken pun fun never hurt anyone.
This writer was driving down Portsmouth's Woodbury Avenue earlier this year when something unusual and awesome caught her eye: a colorfully-painted building with a large sign featuring a rubber chicken's face. It turns out that Dave's Hot Chicken has set up shop right here on the Seacoast, and opened their doors to the public back in the spring.
If you're unfamiliar with Dave's Hot Chicken, it's because no other locations currently exist in New Hampshire or Maine. The chain had humble beginnings, growing from a "tiny stand in an East Hollywood parking lot" to a nationwide chain with 100+ locations, according to its website. That's quite the testament to how awesome the food is.
The menu, as shown online, specializes in chicken tenders and sliders. Each combo option comes with numerous sides and spice levels to choose from, so you're bound to get a feast for your taste buds.
And just look at this food. This picture is among the most beautiful images you'll see all week, that's for sure.
In the words of Janice from Friends, "Oh. My. God." Get in my belly, please and thank you.
