Super Bowl LIX is now ready to go as the Kansas City Chiefs take on the Philadelphia Eagles on February 9, 2025, at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans. All eyes will be on the game and the food at viewing parties. If you're hosting a Super Bowl party, you aren't doing it right if you don't put out a big spread of favorite foods.
The website Coffeeness did some research to find out what the most popular Super Bowl foods are by state and the New England states are unanimous in their choice of best food.

What's The Formula?

Coffeeness analyzed internet search volume data in the weeks before last year's Super Bowl. The data may be a year old, but if I were a betting man—and I am—I would say that the results for the 2025 Super Bowl would be the same here in New England as in 2024. Also, this formula above has nothing to do with determining our favorite Super Bowl food. It just looks cool. Please don't school me on the formula you math geeks. Thank you.

Some States Picked Some Weird Foods

This dish you see here is Shashuka and it's the favorite Super Bowl dish in Washington D.C. What? It's simmering tomatoes, onions, garlic, spices, and gently poached eggs to create what looks just like you'd expect: eggs in tomato sauce. Blech!

There are also weird dishes that you don't see in New England like knoephla soup, funeral potatoes, and crawfish etouffee.

The Winning Dish in All of New England

Every single state in New England picked buffalo chicken dip as their favorite Super Bowl food. You can't go wrong with it unless you aren't into a little bit of heat. Depending on how it's made, it could be anywhere from mild to get the fire extinguisher.

Buffalo chicken dip is also the favorite of 24 other states outside New England and is the clear winner nationwide.
So make sure to grab your buffalo chicken dip ingredients so your viewing party will be a hit.
