It seems that activity bars are all the rage. More and more bars are opening up with things to do, leaving just hanging out at a bar watching TV and talking to strangers a thing of the past. Arcade bars are one of the themes of an activity bar that has become so popular, however, a new type of activity bar is popping up in Boston, Massachusetts, later this week.

Forget about only going mini golfing in the summertime, because this is honestly a game changer. On October 19th, Puttshack will be opening its doors in Boston. So, get ready for an indoor mini golf bar. You read that right...it's a bar, where you can get drinks and food AND play mini golf with your friends.

Puttshack is not like your normal mini golf experience, you can forget about trying to keep track of your own score with paper and a pencil because it is a tech-infused mini golf place. Your score will be taken care of for you with a new fun scoring system. According to their website, the ball that you will use will actually track your gameplay and you can actually both earn and lose points depending on how you play.

According to Boston.com, this Puttshack will be located at Boston's Seaport and is 26,000 square feet. Inside, you will find two floors that feature four nine-hole mini golf courses.

What is even more unique about this mini golf bar is that each hole also features its own interactive game. You will be able to test your beer pong skills at one hole while testing your trivia knowledge at another one.

As stated above, there is more to do than just mini golf, you can also eat and drink. According to the Puttshack website, its food is a "culinary journey of global flavors, both deeply inspired by and celebrating the wonderfully diverse cultures, ingredients, and recipes (traditional and modern) from all around the world." You will also be able to sip on local beers and ciders from Sam Adams, Jack’s Abby, Night Shift Brewing, Downeast Cider, and more.

Boston.com states that Boston is going to be Puttshack's third location in the U.S., joining Atlanta and Chicago. Puttshack is also planning on opening in at least 10 more cities including Denver, Miami, and Nashville.

If you are interested in trying out this new experience, it will be open 11 am to midnight from Sunday through Wednesday and 11 am to 1 am Thursday through Saturday.
