Milk Does The Wallet Good In New Hampshire Because Of Class-Action Lawsuit
How much milk do you think you've drank in the last 14 years? My hubby loves milk and used to drink two gallons a week. If you do the math, that's 1,456 gallons in 14 years. I don't drink milk very often, but I do love ice cream and yogurt.
If you consumed any amount of certain dairy products in the last decade and a half (since 2003), you could be eligible for a refund through the "Fresh Milk Products Price-Fixing Class Action Lawsuit." New Hampshire is one of 15 states involved in a suit against the National Milk Producers Federation and its subsidiary Cooperatives Working Together, along with other milk producers, worth $52-million dollars.
Even though the above named milk producers vehemently deny the allegations, the class action contends that half a million cows were slaughtered in a manipulative collusion to drive up the price of milk.
WMUR TV says that payment amounts vary, depending on the number of claims submitted, but they could amount up to $70 per claim. No proof of purchase is needed. The deadline is fast approaching: January 31, 2017.
