Market Basket Employees Protest CEO Firing [Audio/Photos]

The Market Basket family feud is rippling throughout New England with employees and customers taking part in the dispute. Market Basket is a New England supermarket chain owned by the DeMoulas family.

Earlier this summer the CEO Arthur T. DeMoulas was fired.  Reportedly, he was very popular among employees with his friendly demeanor and generous perks. Over the past week, employees have rebelled and protested the firing with rallies. Thousands have gone out to the rallies to show their support for the ousted CEO.  The most significant is the protest at the warehouse where goods are not making their way to the stores. Stores shelves are becoming bare. Listeners have contributed with photos from local stores, comments and calls. One caller was a 20 year veteran employee of Market Basket. Listen here:
