Maine’s scariest haunted attraction is keeping its gates closed this Halloween season because of the coronavirus pandemic, according to Destination Haunt's website. This is a real bummer for macabre fans who love a good scare. Destination Haunt has been voted the scariest haunted attraction in Maine, as per the website, and if you've ever been, you know this to be true. It's an outdoor hike through "rugged terrain" where frightening monsters, creatures, and ghosts are lurking around every corner, just waiting to jump out and scare your pants off. Plenty of people who have made this event an annual Halloween ritual will be disappointed.

The attraction, which is located on Lord Road in Lebanon, Maine, plans to resume its normal operating hours in 2021.
