Missing Maine Woman’s Body Found Miles Offshore
According to The Kennebec Journal, a woman who was reported missing on July 7th has been found. Wendy Lewis, reported missing from her hometown of Freeport, was found a few miles offshore by some fishermen.
According to a post from the Lincoln County Sheriff's Department,
UPDATE: Sadly, the body of the missing woman was found by a fisherman a few miles off shore. Cause of death is unknown at this time. The Coast Guard assisted with the recovery. All our thoughts and prayers go out to her family.
Prior to being found offshore, Lewis' last known location was captured on video-surveillance camera at Dunkin' in Brunswick.
