Maine Native get’s Tony Nomination
Donald Holder, a Maine native, has just been nominated for his third Tony Award! As a stage actor and Musical Theater enthusiast, I'm pretty excited about seeing Maine represented at this prestigious event.
Holder is a graduate of the University of Maine and spent time during the 80's working at Portland Stage Company, a local equity theater here in Maine. His first nomination came in 1998 for "The Lion King" and his second in 2008 for "South Pacific".
The Lion King
This third and most recent nomination comes for his lighting design for the revival of "The King and I", and this Anna for one will be rooting for her fellow Mainer on June 7th at 8pm on CBS!
