Maine Gas Prices Holding Steady

Maine gas prices held steady this past week, that's according to the price-monitoring website GasBuddy.com. The average price for a gallon of gas in Maine is at $2.23 a gallon.

Nationally, prices were down by almost three cents per gallon, for an average price of $2.19 per gallon.

The lowest reported gas prices in Maine were from Bangor at $2.03 per gallon.

South Carolina has the lowest average gas prices in the nation at $1.93 per gallon.

New Hampshire has the lowest average gas prices in New England, with gas at $2.13 per gallon.
