Bean

The name Bean is synonymous with the town of Freeport. Linda Bean is the granddaughter of Lenon Leonwood Bean, the founder of L.L. Bean. But L.L. Bean isn't the only "Bean" in Freeport. Across the street from the flagship store, there's also Linda Bean's Maine Kitchen and Topside Tavern.

The restaurant is known for its stunning outdoor seating on Main Street, cozy indoor dining, and amazing dishes featuring Maine seafood and farm foods. Now big changes are coming.

Expansion

Mainebiz reports that Trillium Engineering Group is currently in the process of planning a 2,500 square foot addition to the restaurant.

Plans for this addition will include a walk-up ice cream window, a raw bar, and a new bar that is accessible for outside diners. The mock-up that can be seen here appears to extend to where the Camden National Bank ATM currently resides.

There is no projected completion date at this time.
