It’s the most wonderful time of year! Parents are finishing their holiday shopping while their kids begin writing endless wish lists for Santa. While some children keep it simple, most ask Mr. Claus to break the bank with new video games and ponies.

Do kids still ask for Ponies?

At age 10, my letter to Santa missed the mark. Instead of asking for the latest Nintendo system, I asked him for sleeping pills and an oven timer.

Here are 3 questions I’d love to ask myself back then:

  1. How did I create the best hashtag ever before hashtags? #heylightbulb
  2. Sleeping pills for kids? Why didn’t I just ask for a Benadryl?
  3. How did my mom feel about me throwing her under the bus for burnt cookies?

And apparently, Santa never brought my Mom a new oven timer...
