The Manchester, N.H., Restaurant That Created The Chicken Tender

It's hard to fathom that a food so beloved across the entire country and dare I say the World was invented right here in New Hampshire, but I have heard (and probably so have you) that the Puritan Backroom in Manchester, New Hampshire invented the chicken tender.

We all know that America has some amazing food, especially here in New England. Massachusetts, specifically, Ipswich is the creator of the Fried Clam. Maine created Moxie and the Whoopie Pie and here in New Hampshire, we have created the Chicken Tender.
