Boston-Based Chef Jason Santos Becomes New ‘Bar Rescue’ Guest Host
Chef Jason Hell's Kitchen
You may know Chef Jason Santos best from Chef Gordon Ramsay's insanely popular show -- which is filming its next two seasons here in New England at Foxwoods -- Hell's Kitchen.
Chef Jason first appeared on the show as a contestant back in Season 7, finishing as the runner up to Holli Ugalde; however, it turns out that may have been an absolute blessing in disguise.
For the last handful of Hell's Kitchen seasons, the appropriately blue-haired Chef Jason has returned to the show as one of Chef Ramsay's sous chef's in charge of the Blue Team.
Jason Santos Bar Rescue
In between his time on Hell's Kitchen, Chef Jason also being regularly appearing on Jon Taffer's popular show Bar Rescue, serving as a special restaurant expert for Taffer on occasional episodes, including the premiere of the latest season which dropped in February 2024 on the Paramount Network.
It turns out that Chef Jason has made such an impression on Taffer and the production squad for Bar Rescue, as in a recent interview he mentioned that they've decided to have him back to guest host a few episodes.
Jon's a busy guy and he can't sort of do it all, so he's asked me to step in and host some episodes.
Jason Santos Boston Restaurants
Thankfully for us in New England, we can experience Chef Jason's greatness outside of Hell's Kitchen and Bar Rescue, as he has multiple restaurants scattered throughout Boston, including Nash Bar & Stage in the Theater District, Citrus & Salt in the Back Bay, Buttermilk & Bourbon also located in the Back Bay, and a second Buttermilk & Bourbon location at the Arsenal Yards in Watertown, Massachusetts.
Chef Jason's first episode of Bar Rescue as guest host should air on the Paramount Network no later than August 2024.
