How New Hampshire’s ‘Barking Dog Farm Rescue’ is Saving Great Pyrenees One Dog at a Time
Sometimes you meet a dog... and you just know.
That happened to me during a remote broadcast in New Hampshire when I crossed paths with Merida, a stunning Great Pyrenees named after the fearless heroine from Brave.
If you've never met a Great Pyrenees, imagine a giant fluffy cloud with soulful eyes, a heart of gold, and the instincts of a mountain guardian. They're majestic, gentle, and absolutely unforgettable.
Merida certainly was.
But as wonderful as she is, the real heroes that day were the volunteers from Barking Dog Farm Rescue. Their passion for saving dogs was impossible to miss. Every conversation came back to one thing: giving unwanted, neglected, or abandoned animals the second chance they deserve.

Based in Croydon, New Hampshire, Barking Dog Farm Rescue is a volunteer-run nonprofit specializing in Great Pyrenees, Great Pyrenees mixes, and other dogs in need.
Meeting the incredible women who devote countless hours, simply out of love for these dogs, to help them find forever homes made me fall in love with the entire rescue.
They rescue, rehabilitate, provide veterinary care and training, and carefully match each dog with the right forever family.

Rescue work isn't free.
Every vet visit, transport, bag of food, and warm bed depends on donations, fosters, and volunteers willing to lend a hand.
If you're looking for a way to make a real difference or maybe even meet your own "Merida" consider supporting Barking Dog Farm Rescue.
You just might save a life. And if you're lucky, that life might change yours forever.
