This is a sad one, but it also sounds like it's for the betterment of the company. Jack Rabbit Cafe out of Biddeford, Maine, has decided to shut its doors for good. However, if you're a Jack Rabbit fan, it seems like you still may be able to get your fix in a small way.

From everything I'm gathering in their Instagram post, it seems like they're planning on continuing to sell their most loved bakery item – their cardamom buns. How cool would it be if they started a food truck for the people of Biddeford?

Sadly, as the trend goes after Covid, this isn't the only bakery to have closed its doors in the last few years. Do you remember when Little Bigs Bakery in South Portland closed out of nowhere on their Facebook post, saying,

"Dear beloved customers - it’s been 6 years of high highs & low lows, and it’s time to finally say goodbye. We’ve done our best, all for you; thank each and every one of you for loving our food. Here’s hoping our paths cross again".

THEN, one of the more unique bakeries called Ice It! with locations in Portland and Yarmouth followed suit. The next day, this little DIY bakery also closed their doors. I hate it when small, local companies close, but always appreciate what they did for the community in their time open.
