Westbrook, Maine, Next to Get a Cheese Louise at Rock Row
Cheese Louise, an awesome place for artisan grilled cheese, is expanding into Westbrook, but you have to wait a while.
The new Cheese Louise will be at Rock Row in Westbrook, Maine, but won't open until 2025. There are currently two locations in Portland and Portsmouth.
When you think of grilled cheese, you might think of just your basic quick lunch of a couple of slices of white bread with cheese slapped in the middle. But that's what you make when you have nothing left in the house to eat. Cheese Louise is not that.
These grilled cheese sandwiches are award-winning. There's something for everyone at Cheese Louise, including the V-word. That's right, even vegans and vegetarians can enjoy grilled cheese; everything from the plain grilled cheese, The Vermonter, to the Porky-Pine, grilled cheese with pulled pork, pineapple, and goat cheese! It's insanely good.
Bryce Harrison, one of the three founders of Cheese Louise, said in a press release that:
We pride ourselves in providing phenomenal grilled cheese for everyone while making a difference in our communities. Guests want more from a restaurant than just great food. We are striving to make Cheese Louise an example of how restaurants have the power to make an impact. From financially supporting charities in our communities to empowering the youth with a foundational job experience, we’re excited to bring our vision to Rock Row.
Cheese Louis is more than just grilled cheese sandwiches. They also have alcohol! With a full liquor license, the Rock Row location will have a bar with craft beers and scratch-made cocktails. There are also sides great on their own or with grilled cheese, including tomato soup, house-made pickles, mac & cheese, or salads.
It's a perfect addition to Rock Row. Now, you just have to wait until 2025!
