You guys. Does anybody else have a love-hate relationship with bubble tea? I remember trying it once a long time ago, and thinking it was absolutely disgusting because of the consistency of the little tapioca balls at the bottom of the iced drink.

Now? Now I'm absolutely obsessed with this weird tea drink, and the Maine Mall recently put a vendor in the middle of the mall that sells them. YES!

It's called Boba, and to my understanding, not that many people know about this new addition.

They also sell really good Asian food to-go, which makes them a one-stop shop.

For as long as I can remember, the best part about going to the mall was begging your parents to buy you a cup of stale Auntie Anne's soft pretzels.

Honestly, I think bubble tea has become the new Auntie Anne's.

What is Bubble tea?

According to eater.com,

The word “boba” can refer to either a broad category of chunky drinks — including everything from iced tea with tapioca pearls to fresh juice loaded with fruity bits — or black tapioca pearls themselves.

If you're a consistency freak, don't even come close to this treat. You'll hate it. However, if you're into trying new and exciting things, boba is totally for you.

Like I said, I hated the first time I tried one of the shaken milks. But then I figured out what flavors work together for me, and I love it.

Anyways, South Portland's Maine Mall made a great decision by building a new Boba for us, and it's right near the food court, so you can't miss it!
