New research from the University of Washington is telling us that the colors that you are now wearing can make a massive difference in how often you get bitten.

According to the study, mosquito’s are especially attracted to four significant colors: red, orange, black, and cyan.

Why do mosquitos even care about the colors we are wearing?

The Four Colors Mosquitoes Love (And Why You Should Avoid Them)

They’re feelings don’t have much to do with it but the attraction does because, as the research suggests, the colors emit light wavelengths that mosquitoes can easily detect, which will make you a super easy target for biting into.

The worst part is that even though we can’t see it, human skin also gives off a red-orange signal, making us even more noticeable to these bloodsuckers.

Is there good news to this? Yes, the same research also found that mosquitoes avoid the colors green, purple, blue, and white.
