Nothing is better than Greek food.
Welcome back to the Greek Festival in Saco! In-person for the first time in years because of the pandemic. It's all taking place at the gorgeous St. Demetrios Orthodox Church in Saco.
This is the first time you can dine in or under the tent! For years, this was a carry-out event only. All the food is cooked by serious Greek cooks who know their way around a kitchen! Save the dates of Friday, July 14 and Saturday July 15 from 11-9 and Sunday 11-3. Free admission, free parking and credit and debit cards accepted.
There's Greek music, dancing, an area just for the kiddos, church tours (it's beautiful) and more! Opa!
All your favorites will be served...dolmathes, spanakopita (spa-nah-KOH-pee-tah), pastitsio (pas-TEET-sio), and more Greek desserts than you'll know what to do with!
According to St. Demetrios Orthodox Church:
By God’s grace, our parish continues to grow, and we are blessed with a thriving and diverse community: from very young children to valued elders, coming from many different cultural backgrounds, many of whom were born into the Faith while many others found it later in life, and every year our Greek Festival welcomes thousands of visitors from near and far. We believe that God is doing good things here, and we are blessed to be a part of it.
If you are a person who shows love through food, you will feel the love in all this home-cooked deliciousness. It's definitely a love language of the Greeks. If you've never had Greek food before, this is a great way to start!
