According to the KJ, Governor Janet Mills has announced that gyms, fitness centers, and nail salons will remain closed.

Initially, they were supposed to reopen on June 1st.

It would appear these changes to Governor Janet Mills' "rural reopening" plan are due to the perceived continued spread of the coronavirus in Maine.  The Maine Centers For Disease Control has announced that there have been 28 new confirmed coronavirus cases and two additional deaths.

So far, the State of Maine has had just over 1,700 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 73 deaths.

With regard to nail salons, Mills sighted a situation in California where "community spread" was traced back to a nail salon.

Starting this weekend, however, Maine residents will be able to use the state's campgrounds.  Previously, they had been scheduled to reopen on June 1st.
