Free Concerts Every Weekend of August at Camden Snow Bowl
If it’s free, it’s for me, especially when it involves music.
Camden Summer Sounds
Throughout the month of August every Sunday, Camden Opera House will be presenting free concerts for anyone to attend at the Camden Snow Bowl. All you need to do is bring a blanket or chair, pack up a picnic, and enjoy the show.
The concerts will run from 4 - 7 p.m. and will feature two performers/bands every single Sunday from an array of genres, including jazz, blues, bluegrass, and folk, creating both a romantic and family-friendly environment for all to enjoy.
The opera house started the Camden Summer Sounds outdoor concert series in the summer of 2020 and has been brought back annually since by popular demand. It’s an accessible and wonderful way for us to all experience some of the best parts of summer: Sunsets, spending time outdoors and listening to live music performances without having to spend any money.
Plus, it’s held at a beautiful place.
Camden Snow Bowl
Camden Snow Bowl is Maine’s only ski mountain with views of the ocean, overlooking Penobscot Bay. The four-season recreation area offers mountain fun all-year long, providing even more fun than just skiing down the slopes.
They have scenic chairlift rides, hiking trails, mountain biking, lodge rentals, and access to Hosmer Pond where you can swim, paddle, and canoe during the warmer months. In the winter, the snow bowl is home to the Toboggan Championships and they even just opened up a new tubing hill.
But, I’m in no rush to bring winter back, so in the meantime, we can all enjoy free outdoor concerts in a beautiful area and spend time with one another in our community outdoors while we still can.
