Family Guy’s Meg Griffin is Going to a Maine College
Family Guy has been a staple for adult comedy animation for 21 years now.
The Griffins live in the fictional all-American town of Quahog, Rhode Island. The family consists of a mother and a father, a talking baby, a talking dog, and a teenaged son and daughter. The daughter of the family, Meg, voiced by Mila Kunis, is often ignored and not taken seriously by her family.
At the end of the most recent episode, Meg is hanging out with her family in the living room rocking a Bowdoin College hat and sweatshirt.
Bowdoin College is a private liberal arts college located in Brunswick and was chartered in 1794 when Maine was still part of Massachusetts, according to Wikipedia.
In the scene, Meg teases her family about some good news in order to provoke them to ask her about it, the news obviously being getting accepted to college. The family doesn't bite and, according to WGME, Peter (the father) is so indifferent towards Meg he asks to roll credits instead of listening to her good news. .
Looks like Bowdoin is excited to have a "celebrity" student, even if her family isn't.
