Coastal New England Urged to Prepare for Significant Flooding

The National Weather Service (NWS) is urging residents in coastal communities throughout New England to start preparing now for moderate to major flooding that may accompany the storm heading our way Friday into Saturday.

The NWS says the storm could be dangerous for mariners because of high winds and high seas. They also say there is a chance of serious coastal flooding along the entire eastern Massachusetts coastline, especially for the North and South Shores where breaking waves could exacerbate damage.
