Britney Spears and Will.i.am just lost their years-long legal battle over "Scream & Shout," the pop star and producer's 2012 EDM collaboration.

The pair have been entwined in a lawsuit with singer/songwriter Tulisa Contostavlos, who claimed she was un-credited for her work on the song, for the past five years.

Contostavlos alleged that "Scream & Shout" was originally titled "I Don't Give a F---," and was meant to be included on her debut album, The Female Boss, before Will.i.am's producers brought the track to Spears.

On Wednesday (April 4), Contostavlos won the case, and according to NME, will now be entitled to 10% of both the global publishing rights and sales for "Scream & Shout," funds which have been frozen since 2012 due to the previously pending lawsuit.

The ruling for the suit, which also revealed that Spears' vocals were mixed with Contostavlos' vocals, also means that Contostavlos will now be listed as a co-writer on the song.

Released on November 20, 2012, "Scream & Shout" hit No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The dance-pop anthem is certified 3x platinum.
