A new study by WalletHub confirms what us New Englanders already know - it's a pretty great place to raise a family.

It looks like they took this study pretty seriously, to make sure that it was as accurate as possible. They used a whopping 42 factors, including median family salary, housing affordability, and unemployment rate.

So how did the six New England states rank? Really well, as a matter of fact!

#1 - Massachusetts

#3 - New Hampshire

#5 - Vermont

#11 - Connecticut

#17 - Maine

#22 - Rhode Island

So we have three states in the top five. That's pretty solid! And although Connecticut, Maine, and Rhode Island didn't make the top ten, all six New England states were ranked in the top half of the country.

Further proof that New England is a great place to live and raise a family.
