Like anyone else, I'd love to start saving a little money at the grocery store. But I'd rather not sacrifice the quality of the items I purchase. So today on the HOM Morning Show, we asked our listeners what items you can buy the generic version of, and not notice a difference in quality?

You can save a lot of money buying generic items instead of the name brand. Sometimes you can tell the difference, other times it's not as obvious.

We got quite a few calls and comments on the post at our Facebook page. Here are a few that people mentioned:

  • Yogurt
  • Eggs
  • Milk
  • Butter
  • Bread
  • Pasta
  • Canned Vegetables
  • Pain Relievers/Other Medications
  • Toilet Paper/Other Bathroom Products
  • Diapers/Baby Wipes

What other items do you save money on buying generic, and the quality is just as good as the name brand? Leave a comment on the Facebook post below.
