Another New England Student Wins Lots Of Money On ‘Wheel Of Fortune’
Another New England student competed and won during "College Week" on Wheel Of Fortune. Tim Sears of Springfield, Massachusetts was on the popular game show Thursday, March 19th, 2020. He wore a sweat shirt representing his school, Providence College, where he is in his third year. Sears is a finance/philosophy double major, according to Mass Live.
As you can see in the video below, Sears is nervous when Pat Sajak asks him about his family during the introduction of all the college players. He momentarily forgets how many brothers he has, and one of their names. His father, Pat Sears, posted a video on Facebook showing Tim's brother Danny's reaction to having his name forgotten. You can see it here.
Sears won a total of $21,250.
As a side note, his dad shared that he is proud of Tim for running his first marathon in Sydney, Australia in September, 2019. He finished in under 3 hours. This feat qualified him for the Boston Marathon, according to the father.
