One of the most memorable Mainers on Wheel of Fortune was memorable because of a technicality that cost her a trip to Nashville, Tennesee. When Kristen Shaw from Bangor was on the show in 2019, the word 'and' cost her an all-expense paid trip! She was listing four items and forgot that the word 'and' was not one of the items. The buzzer went off and she lost. But she became a viral sensation and Tennesse stepped up with an all-expense paid trip for Kristen! It all worked out in the end.

But back to Pat finally retiring.

According to NBC News, Pat is 76 and has been the host of 'Wheel of Fortune' since 1981 alongside Vanna White. It was always a one-two punch with 'Jeopardy!' following. 'Jeopardy!' isn't the same without Alex Trebec and I'm sure 'Wheel of Fortune' will live on, but it just won't be the same. No word on who might take over for Pat.
