In the quaint town of Stockbridge, Massachusetts, is the definition of Americana art.  The Norman Rockwell Museum sits on a 36-acre campus that includes his most famous and favorite studio.  Just wow.  That's not your typical museum at all, but more of an experience that I can't wait to visit myself.

I'm already feeling peaceful and relaxed thinking about his artwork, as that's exactly its point.  According to the Norman Rockwell Museum, there are 10 ever-changing galleries that include special exhibitions and interactive programs, as well as original large-scale illustrations and works of art by Norman himself.

From his famous 'Saturday Evening Post' posters to highlights of his permanent collection, this is definitely an adventure, and also holds exhibits of other American artists in a rotating retrospective, according to the museum's website.

As a matter of fact, Norman himself is one of the founders of his own museum back in 1969, dedicated to his artwork and contributions to society, popular culture, and social commentary. According to the Norman Rockwell Museum, it's the most popular cultural attraction in the Berkshires. Many of his world-renowned pieces are of the Berkshires, and the people living there in the Stockbridge and surrounding areas.

By the way, online participation and lectures are available through the museum, which is so fantastic for those of us who can't be at the museum all the time.  It also allows artists around the country to educate us from their home base as well.
