I remember being fascinated by this story when I was a kid. Probably due to the fact that they were from New Hampshire. Barney and Betty Hill, a Portsmouth couple, claimed to have been abducted by aliens from September 19th to September 20th, 1961.

It was the first highly publicized UFO abduction case, and captured national and even global attention. Their story was adapted into the best-selling 1966 book The Interrupted Journey and the 1975 television movie The UFO Incident.
