Portland’s Stars and Stripes Spectacular 4th of July Celebration Details Announced

The countdown has begun for the 4th of July. Portland has one of the best celebrations.  The Stars and Stripes Spectacular schedule has been announced. We have details.

Independence Day is on a Friday this year to give us a three day weekend.  What a fantastic way to kick off a weekend with music and fireworks. The Portland Symphony Orchestra will once again be performing at Portland's annual Stars and Stripes Spectacular Independence Day celebration. The evening will include a fife and drum group and a Star Spangled Banner singing contest. Over 60,000 people mass on Portland's Eastern Prom to look out over Casco Bay. To get a front row view, tables are available right in front of the stage.  Enjoy a delicious BBQ while waiting for the sun to set and the festivities to begin. If crowds aren't you're thing, 94.9 HOM will once again broadcast from the event.
