NH Bobcat Hunting Proposal Withdrawn
The public overwhelming rejected the measure.
It looks like the bobcats in New Hampshire are safe for now. The NH Fish & Game withdrew it's proposal to allow limited hunting of the animal, after consulting the NH Fish & Game Commission.
The proposal included a lottery which would issue 50 bobcat hunting permits.
Following it's 5-4 vote in favor of moving forward with the proposal, there was public outcry among NH residents, including protests, and it inspired the production of an independent movie.
